Old World, New Hope

Just a typical weekend, venturing through Victorian towns in Victorian jackets...This time around, the destination was New Hope, a vivacious little town perched by the Delaware River. I visited New Hope several times as a child, but comparing my memory of it to its present day experience gives the impression that it's grown up with me. While my recollection summons images of shops filled with boxes, in turn filled with crystals and tiger eyes, and any sort of natural stone you could imagine (along with ones you couldn't), this trip highlighted the energy of New Hope's dynamic nightlife.

Though I enjoyed my visit, I could not suppress the intrigue that arose when I stood by the water's edge and observed the other side of the river, where a pale church top broke the line of trees. We'll save that for the next one...
